One.

One more day down.
Tay and I have decided to think about the
positive aspects of being apart rather
than the downsides.
I think it's helped him-he got a sale today!
Yay!

Only a week and a half :)
It's getting so close!
I'm so ecstatic!

...I need to start packing...
Now that's an adventure I'm
NOT ready for.

Uh oh.

You know how I said I was
splurging
today?
Yea, I definitely regret it.
I ate way too much for my own good.
Gummy bears.
Mike&Ikes.
Brownies.
Salmon.
Cheddar&Sour Cream potato chips.
Barf.
Barf.
Barf.
Ha.
Ha.
Ha.
All in all though it was a good Memorial Day.
Sunitha and I watched five movies today.
Pathetic?
Only a little.
It was cold and rainy and it even
snowed today!
Crazy, right?

On the other side of the country...
okay, several states away...
Tay was experiencing TORNADOES!
I will admit it, I was terrified for him!
Luckily the tornadoes didn't touch down
near them so they were okay.
Thank goodness.
One more day down.
Can't wait.
Tay countdown: 12! (practically 11 now)
Wedding countdown: 19! (practically 18 now)

I'm out.

Sundays.

I love Sundays.
It's by far the best day of the week.
Not only am I spiritually fed for 3+ hours
but I get to talk to my honey on the
phone all day long :)
No work
&
No errands
Today we talked for almost 4 hours.
We talked about everything.
It's amazing how well your communication
increases when you're apart for so long.
Tay and I have always had really good
communication, but being apart forces
us to be even better about communicating.
This separation will be really, really
great in the long run
even though it
really
sucks being apart right now.
However, our relationship has never been better.
Less than 2 weeks until I get to be with
him, then he's stuck with me for eternity ;)

I have never, ever even been close to
loving someone as much as I love Taylor
(which is obviously how it's supposed to be)
but I never thought I could love anyone this much.
It's remarkable to the both of us how strong our love is.
And how it just gets stronger every single day.
He loves me like I've never known.
I am his number one girl; his princess.
And he's my number one man; my superman.

"The best love is the kind that weakens the soul, that makes us reach for more, that plants fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds. And that's what you've given me. That's what I hope to give to you forever."
-The Notebook

Taylor Grant, if you're reading this, I love you
and always will, forever and ever.

Okay, enough mush.
As for me, I'm just hangin out in lil' old, rainy, cold Logan.
Since Tay's windshield wipers don't work I
decided to not chance a trip up to Bountiful this weekend for Memorial Day
since it's supposed to consist of more rain tomorrow
(big surprise there)
and I have to work on Tuesday morning so that means
no delaying getting back to Logan.
So Sunitha and I will be splurging tomorrow on
movies & goodies.
All I have to say is that
hopefully I won't regret it on my wedding day...
Naaaaaaaaaaaaaw.
Alright, I'm out.
It's bedtime for this little lady.
I hope you all enjoy your Memorial Day!
Wishing you sunshine and warmth, seems how it's almost June
for Heaven's sakes!
Hurry sunshine, get here before June 18th!

A Cat...

So Tay sent me this picture this afternoon...
I am in love.
This is straight up the cutest kitten in the world.
And they were giving them away
for free!!
Crazy, right?
The man said there would be more kittens in a month.
AND
if the apartment complex allows it
Tay and I might be getting a kitten!
I am so stinkin' excited!

We're halfway there-only 17 more days until my baby comes home!
Can I get a "woot woot?"

Today.

Today my search for the perfect little
somethin' somethin' ended.
Hallelujah!
I think it will serve it's purpose quite well.
Okay, I know...
T.M.I.
But it's exciting news, so I had to tell you all!
My room mates and I had quite the adventure to
the Layton Mall today and all had success.
We found alllll that we were looking for;
a new satchel for Camille
a new bra (that lifts and shapes for our "blessed" room mate) for Sunit
new lotions and sprays at Victoria's Secret for all of us
(don't worry, they were on sale and we all helped pay...I have to save my pennies!)
and finally, that little somethin' somethin' for me! :)
I love when we have successful shopping trips.

As for Tay...
he's doing well in Nebraska.
All this selling is making him exhausted day to day
but we're great as ever,
just missing each other like crazy!

Can't wait to see his cute face.
22 days :)

The Wedding Planner.

So I decided tonight that I could never be a wedding planner.
I popped in J-Lo's good old classic movie
and as I sat in my living room putting pictures into my
newly painted frames, I thought to myself;
I love planning my own wedding
but I could never plan one for someone else.
Although it would be fun to have someone else's endless
budget to spend...

Anywho.
Things are coming along well for the planning of
my big day quite well.
We are staying within budget and I think it will
turn out really, really great.
Candy buffet.
Cupcakes.
Light blue and bright yellow.
Incredible dress.
AH!
But most of all
I can't wait to be with the love of my life.
Only 29 more days until he comes home.
And only 37 until I am MARRIED!

Engagements&Nebraska.

"Gravitation is not responsible for two people falling in love."
-Albert Einstein

Tay and I took our engagements last Monday
and they turned out GREAT,
thanks to Kelli Mortensen!
She did a wonderful job and we owe her a special thanks.
Tay and I had a ton of fun doing them-
here is a sneak peek!
(to see the rest check out my facebook).

Just kidding, they wouldn't upload.
Just check out my facebook album.

Tay left for Nebraska yesterday afternoon
to sell for Vivint alarm systems until June 10th
and I miss him.
lot.
It's going to be hard with him gone, but
hopefully it will go by so fast that we don't
even notice!
Next time we see each other we'll be getting married!!
I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with my best friend.
He is the light of my life, my closest confidant.
He makes me so happy just being with him and talking to him.
I can't see my life without him.
He is the most loving, amazing, humble,
caring, spiritual man I have ever met.
We are both so blessed to have found each other :)

It Happened!!

It finally happened-I'm engaged!
I know everyone at Utah State has been hearing that
a whole lot lately, but none the less, I'm incredibly
excited and want the whole world to know
how wonderful my fiance is.
I know, I know, you don't have to say it.
We look horrible.
After a whole day of waiting in the airport
we were soo emotionally drained.
But speaking of the airport...that's where our story begins.

So as most of you don't know, I'm from a little
town called Grand Haven, Michigan.
My father, being the old fashioned man that he is,
and Taylor, being the respectable, fine young man that
he is, wanted to ask my father for my hand in marriage.
So Thursday of last week we flew out to Michigan for Tay to
meet the fam.
It all went really well-my dad said yes (obviously)
and Tay got to bond with my family even though we were
literally there for about three days.
So Sunday rolls around, 6:30am and we're up and at 'em
(okay, kindof).
We flew stand-by so our chances of getting on a flight
weren't solid but we hoped and prayed we'd get on a flight home.
After waiting around for eight plus hours in the Detroit
airport, we got on the last flight out to SLC.
The whole day Tay had been super secretive with his
texts to his mom and when his best friend Nate called
continuously, I knew something must have been up.
As we landed in SLC and drove back to Bountiful
I was getting super anxious, awaiting what I thought
to be a wonderful surprise when we got home.
Much to my chagrin, no surprise.
I was sorely disappointed
and wasn't able to hide it well.
Tay suspected it right away and after telling him my hopes
for the evening, he completely went along with it!
Saying that he wanted to do something really special
but we got home too late but that we would figure something out.
Psh.
About a half an hour before that Tay's mom Jody had
gone to "help Grandma and Grandpa move some tables and chairs for a
relief society activity tomorrow" while Tay and I cuddled up
to some Survivor down in the basement.
Jody came home and told Tay that Grandpa needed some help moving
more chairs and asked if I wanted to go with.
I, of course, said yes.
We got to his grandparent's house and snuck into the basement
with a flashlight and there it was-a candle lit dinner with a vase
of flowers and the ring box sitting on the table.
Tay opened the door for me and we hugged and kissed for a long time
then he grabbed the box off the table, after sharing with me
his thoughts and feelings and how much he loved me,
got down on one knee and asked me to be his forever...
and of course I said yes :)
Afterwards we enjoyed a nice dinner and a slow dance
that has quickly become a tradition with us to this song.

Oh, and here's the ring ;)
Isn't it beautiful?

Tay is the most thoughtful, caring, loving, funny, amazing man
I have ever and will ever meet.
I am so lucky to have him in my life and now for eternity.
I couldn't ask for anything better.
I am so blessed to have him in my life and thank Heavenly Father
every single day for the love we have.
